What is Affiliate Studying membership?

Affiliate Studying membership is open to full time students who are not studying a CIPR approved qualification. Your course must be for a minimum of one year.

You can start your membership at any point in the academic year, although all students renew their membership on 1 October regardless of when they have joined. So it makes sense to join as soon as possible after the start of the course to get the most out of your subscription!

What does Affiliate Studying membership offer me?

For a subsidised membership fee, you can benefit from access to all the CIPR membership services to help you throughout your studies and when taking your first steps into a career in public relations.

The CIPR Member Area is your exclusive PR resource at your fingertips, housing material such as case studies of award winning PR campaigns and practical skills guides on subjects ranging from writing a press release to event management to creative thinking.

PR Student is a dedicated section within the Member Area with detailed careers information including advice on finding PR work experience, factsheets on different PR sectors, a comprehensive CV and interview guide, plus the work placement finder for opportunities throughout the UK.

You will also keep up to date with industry issues and trends with subscriptions to a range of PR publications including PRWeek  as well as free copies of CIPR member magazine Profile, student magazine Behind the Spin, and a regular student e-newsletter
