Gavin Esler to host IPR Excellence Awards

Gavin Esler, author, newspaper columnist and award-winning BBC broadcaster is hosting the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Excellence Awards in London next week (Monday July
8, 2002).
Gavin is the main presenter on BBC News 24 and also presenter of the Radio Four programme, Four Corners. He also writes a weekly column for The Scotsman and is a frequent contributor to other newspapers and magazines, including the Independent and the Mail on Sunday.
The Excellence Awards, which recognises and rewards best practice in public relations, takes place at the London Hilton, Park Lane and will be attended by over 700 PR practitioners and their guests. Categories include Best Consultancy; Best In-house Team in the Private Sector; Best In-house Team in the Public Sector and for the first time, Best Independent Practitioner. Over one third of the 80 finalists in the 18 categories are from outside of London.
