Do you have to be a CIPR member to enter the PRide awards?
No, the Awards are open to everyone.
How do I enter?
All entries for 2011 are being taken via our website. You can view How to submit your CIPR PRide entry online for full details of the submission process.
How do I obtain an invoice in order to raise a payment from my organisation?
This option is no longer available - the deadline passed on Monday 4 July 2011. Invoices need to be paid in full by 5pm on Monday 25 July 2011.
How many categories are there?
This year the PRide awards have 20 standard categories for each of the 12 regions. In addition to this, there are five additional categories available to enter for specific regions only. For details of the categories available in your region, please visit our Previous winners page.
Can I enter the same campaign in more than one category?
Yes, but you need to fill out and pay for each separate online entry in each category the campaign is entered into. Please ensure your entry is relevant to the category you are entering.
There is no discount for entering more than one category.
When is the closing date?
The closing date for entries is 6pm on Monday 18 July 2011.
What if I miss the entry deadline?
We accept late entries until 6pm on Monday 25 July 2011. However, there is an administration fee of £50 plus VAT for each late entry in addition to the normal entry fee.
I'm not sure which category to enter?
You can enter your campaign in more than one category. If you want to enter just one category and you are not sure where to place your campaign, you can phone the team at the CIPR to discuss the entry criteria. The number to call is 020 7631 6900.
Are there any examples of winning entries?
You will find Previous winners from some of the past winners in the PRide Awards section of our website.
What happens if my entry is shortlisted?
You will be notified if your entry is shortlisted in August 2011. The shortlist will also be published on our website at this time.
Who judges the entries?
Panels of senior PR practitioners from the nations and the regions will be judging the 2011 PRide Awards. Judging is completely confidential and regional and national judges will not review entries from their own locale or a surrounding area. Two independent Chairs of Judges will judge the individual and team awards.
If someone in our organisation is a judge, can we still enter the awards?
Yes, but the judge will not be allowed to judge any category in which you have entered.
Is there a discount for small organisations?
Yes, a special reduced fee of £75 + VAT applies to small consultancies consisting of five or less employees entering in category 18, 'Outstanding Small Consultancy'.
Is there a discount for freelance practitioners?
Yes, a special reduced fee of £50 + VAT applies to freelance practitioners entering in category 24, 'Best Freelance Practitioner'.
Must the entries be in PDF format?
Yes, please, as we find this format easier to work with. For additional information on how to create a PDF document, please consult our Notes on PDF creation.
Can I include any artwork or images in my PDF?
Branding, small images and press cuttings can be included. Your PDF can be up to 1MB in size or four sides of A4. Use images to enhance the overall content of your entry, rather than simply for visual stimulus.
We are entering the Team awards – must we feature one project only in our entry, or can we mention several?
If there are several outstanding projects you have worked on during the year, you can mention each one, but do keep the entry to 1,000 words.
Can I enter an ongoing campaign for an Award, or does it have to be one that has been completed in the past year?
Campaigns that span a long period of time are fine, as long as the main focus of the entry is on the one year period stated in the Entry guidelines.
Can my entry remain confidential?
Yes, if you wish. Shortlisted / winning entries are published on our website, but we will contact you first to find out if this is ok.
Do all entries receive feedback?
No, we do not provide feedback for all entries, only those that are shortlisted.
Will I receive a VAT receipt for my entry?
VAT receipts will be acknowledged by email, within one week of the late closing date.
