Programme
Tuesday 28 February: The Creativity Paradox - new developments for research and planning
Andy Green FCIPR, AndyGreenCreativity.com and CIPR approved trainer
The Creativity Paradox explores how communicators can capitalise on new understanding of how the brain works, thinks and produces creativity, combined with new opportunities in research and planning. Andy will explore how, by realising the creative potential of your information and insight to create or add to your brand stories, you can gain a disproportionate share of your culture.
Success however, will only come if communicators both fully understand how the creative dimension operates, coupled with harnessing the revolution in new forms of data to create what he calls 'new school PR'. He will examine the growing importance of creative thinking at a strategic level and the explosion of activity at a micro-tactical level, with a move away from what he labels 'middle-weight creativity'.
Wednesday 28 March: Using web analytics to inform communications strategy and planning
Andrew Smith MCIPR, Managing Director, escherman
Web analytics are hugely powerful and often free tools that can provide powerful insights into online behaviour. However, the use of web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, to drive and directly inform PR programmes has been limited to date.
This session aims to lift the lid on web analytics for PR professionals eager to better inform the strategic planning process. Andrew will discuss data-driven PR, as well as providing insight into how to use web analytics to measure and prove the value of PR activity: both on and offline.
More topics to be announced shortly.

Tuesday 31 January: The Influence Scorecard
Philip Sheldrake MCIPR, Founding Partner, Meanwhile & Influence Crowd
The 'Influence Scorecard' refers to a management framework, a new way to look at the PR and marketing disciplines. Philip will discuss how the Influence Scorecard translates PR and marketing objectives into operational goals, helps communicate objectives and cascade them down to specific groups and individuals, guides the selection of measurement criteria and informs the mechanism for learning from these measures and the adjustment of the influence strategy then required.
