Pam Lloyd

Pam is a director at PamLloyd Food Marketing & PR, a specialist agency based in Bristol with a team of ten. The business represents fresh produce and grocery brands as well as specialist food service products. It has won numerous CIPR PRide awards, most notably the gold award for Outstanding Consultancy.

Pam began her PR career over 20 years ago where she was press officer for Harrods Food Halls and Restaurants. She has worked in food PR and marketing ever since.

Pam has been a member of the CIPR for many years and held the role of Chair Elect in the South West before taking over as Chair in 2014. Pam sat on the CIPR Committee as the representative of the South West region in 2013 and 2014.

Pam is committed to working with the regional committee to provide meaningful benefits of membership to all members in the South West region working in house, in agency, third sector, public sector, freelance and beyond into other marketing disciplines.

Julie JupeJulie has considerable experience of working in public sector communications. She has held a variety of roles in organisations such as local government, National Rivers Authority and in the Environment Agency. She played a leading role in handling the communications around the storms and flooding of 2013 and 2014. She set up her own company in the summer of 2014, and is working for a public sector organization and lending her experience to the regional Local Resilience Forum (LRF). She has been a member of the CIPR since her student days and studying for her CAM certificate, and lives just outside Bristol.

Vicky RuncieVicky Runcie is media relations manager at the Airbus site in Bristol. She was previously the community engagement manager at the same site and has run and ran the global student competition, Fly Your Ideas 2013 during her time in this role. She has the CIPR Advanced Certificate and the Diploma.

Rachel PickenRachel runs Cornwall-based agency MPAD with husband Mark, employing a small team in Truro. Having trained as a newspaper journalist, Rachel has eight year's experience in media relations. She also works in brand consultancy, marketing consultancy and communications strategy, with a special interest in the third sector and evaluating impact of communications.

Natasha Collins-DanielNatasha has over nine years' experience working within the PR industry. After spending two years developing her skills with a PR agency working for a variety of clients on B2B campaigns, Natasha moved to the not-for-profit sector and currently holds the role of Press Manager at the Soil Association. Natasha graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in public relations and community studies, has been a member of the CIPR since 2007 and a member of the CIPR South West Committee since 2011.

Laura BoxallLaura is a professional communicator with 11 years' experience working for central government departments in a range of marketing, strategic, and internal communications roles. Currently leading financial communications to employees within the MOD, she has previously worked on public-facing campaigns on subjects including immigration, police recruitment and consumer rights. Laura gained a Masters in Public Relations from the University of the Arts, London in 2008. She has been a member of the CIPR since 2006 and joined the CIPR SW Committee in 2014 as Newsletter and Web Editor.

Olivia JonesOlivia is Corporate Communications Manager at law firm Michelmores LLP. She has experience working both in-house and agency side. As events co-ordinator for Devon, Olivia organises training, conferences and networking events to promote best practice in the region. Olivia joined the CIPR South West Committee in 2013.

Lynsey Thorp

Lynsey has over 10 years' experience in the industry and is currently Strategic Engagement and PR Manager at NHS Wiltshire Clinical Commissioning Group.

From 2010 to 2014, Lynsey held the position of PR Executive and latterly PR Manager at private healthcare provider Simplyhealth. In 2009/10 she worked for the Health Protection Agency (now Public Health England) and in 2007/8, managed the PR activity for Wiltshire Police, winning the 2008 Association of Police Press Officers Award for Communications in Excellence.

Prior to this, whilst agency side, Lynsey looked after a number of international media campaigns for businesses within the science and technology sector, and managed product events throughout EMEA for global giant, Intel.

Lynsey is a CIPR Accredited Practitioner and completed the CIPR Diploma in 2013.

Nigel Barker, Regional Co-ordinator – Cornwall

Nigel BarkerNigel joins the CPIR South West committee as Cornwall co-ordinator. He is a senior content manager at Cornish creative agency MPAD. Prior to working in PR Nigel was a broadcast journalist and drive-time presenter for Atlantic FM. He has been working with digital and social media for over 25 years now and is always keen to explore new and creative avenues for story telling and content delivery.

Nigel also lectures at Falmouth University on audiences and presentation skills and will write three word straplines for food.

Polly Akielan, Regional Co-ordinator – Bristol


Polly AkielanPolly is an Account Manager at PamLloyd Food Marketing & PR, where, alongside fellow food-lovers she helps promote food and drink brands to consumer and trade audiences. She loves nothing more than seeing client coverage come in or creating a buzz on the social channels the team run. She has joined the CIPR to help bring fun and informative events to Bristol audiences and is currently working on becoming an Accredited Practitioner.

Nina Bartlett, Regional Co-ordinator – Gloucestershire

Previously an Events Co-ordinator in the charity sector, Nina has a wealth of experience in organising a range of events. As the CIPR Co-ordinator for Gloucestershire, Nina organises training, conferences and networking events to promote best practice and engage PR professionals in the region. Nina is new to the committee for 2015.
