Internal Communication Diploma at the PR Academy

The PR Academy, a long established CIPR qualifications centre, takes pride in providing one-to-one student support and guidance and teaches a range of other CIPR qualifications including the CIPR Internal Communication Certificate. The team comprises experienced educationalists and internal communication practitioners. The learning experience:

  1. 20 hours face to face teaching time. Leading experts in their field will guide you through each of the modules with practical exercises and group discussion.
  2. Reading – there are three essential readers for this course:
    • Hargie, O and Tourish, D (2009) Auditing Organisational Communication', A Handbook of Research, Theory and Practice, Routledge
    • Gower (2007) 'The CEO: Chief Engagement Officer: Turning Hierarchy upside down to improve performance
    • 'Exploring Internal Communication' edited by Kevin Ruck.
    Candidates will receive the texts at the first seminar so there is no need to purchase these separately prior to the start date.

There are two modes of study available for this course: centre-based and online (see below).

Centre-based study

The PR Academy will be offering two courses in central London, one starting in Autumn 2012 (October) and one starting Winter 2013 (January). Course times: 10.30am - 4pm. Venue details will be confirmed by the PR Academy.

Students must commit to attend all four study days as listed above.

It is estimated that you will need to set aside four to five hours per week for private study which may increase as you are working on your assignment.

The total fee is £1,514. This is split as follows:

Online

You can study the Internal Communication Diploma online, giving you flexibility to study when and where you want. Teaching is delivered through online tutorials by expert lecturers and you will have access to extensive online learning resources and discussion groups.

*Though recommended, the face-to-face sessions are not compulsory.

The total fee is £1,640. This is split as follows:

Notes

If you are not already a CIPR member, you would need to join at a special reduced rate of £145 for your first year of CIPR membership. The fee for students residing outside the UK is £80 and students must apply online once acceptance onto the course has been received.

If a payment plan hasn't been agreed then all CIPR Awarding Body fees and Membership fees MUST be paid in full prior to commencement of the cousre. Please check with the PR Academy regarding deadline for payment of their fees.

The CIPR regrets it cannot accept payment of the Awarding Body or Membership fees by BACS.
