Internal Communication Diploma at Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh

Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh is the only Scottish institution to offer CIPR accredited undergraduate and postgraduate courses and to teach the CIPR Diploma and the CIPR Internal Communication Diploma. These programmes reflect the strength and depth of the teaching team which includes academics with extensive research and publication portfolios and PR practitioners with many years of experience at senior level and in a wide range of organisations.

CIPR Internal Communication Diploma students receive 20 hours of face to face teaching which includes input from those with extensive internal communications experience, practical exercises and group discussion involving students from a cross-section of public relations programmes. Students are also supported by internet access to the complete range of University learning resources even when off campus, through continuing contact with the teaching team and project supervision.

Students must commit to attend all study days as listed above (apart from the two optional dates).

It is estimated that you will need to set aside four to five hours per week for private study which may increase as you are working on your assignment.

Fees

The total fee is £920. This is split as follows:

  • Awarding body fees:–
    £320 (VAT exempt) paid directly to the CIPR
    Note: Payment by instalments is available for self-funding students. Please email bernadettee@cipr.co.uk for further details
  • Tuition fees:–
    £650 (VAT exempt) paid directly to Queen Margaret University. You will be matriculated as a QMU student and enjoy unlimited free access to the educational resource centre, including thousands of journal articles, databases and e-books available in the library or online. Vouchers for meals and refreshments provided.

Notes

If you are not already a CIPR member, you would need to join at a special reduced rate of £145 for your first year of CIPR membership. The fee for students residing outside the UK is £80 and students must apply online once acceptance onto the course has been received.

If a payment plan hasn't been agreed then all CIPR Awarding Body fees and membership fees must be paid in full prior to commencement of the course. Please check with QMUC regarding deadline for payment of their fees.

The CIPR regrets it cannot accept payment of the Awarding Body or Membership fees by BACS.
