Sarah is an experienced corporate communications and marketing expert. Working as a journalist and TV director for the BBC for 11 years, Sarah has spent the last 12 years in senior communications and marketing posts. She won the inaugural IoD and CIPR PR Director of the Year Award in 2011 for her work at the NHS in Bristol. Sarah has worked across the bus and rail divisions of FirstGroup plc, for two charities (including an international development agency) and for University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. Sarah is in her third and final year as Chair of the regional group. Born in Devon and now living in Bristol, she is passionate about the region and making membership meaningful for all members.

Pam Lloyd is a director at PamLloyd PR, a Bristol-based agency specialising in food marketing. The agency is not distracted by accounts outside its specialism. Gemma graduated from the University of the West of England in Bristol with a degree in Cultural and Media Studies. She started working in PR following marketing and design roles after University.
Gemma has been a member of the CIPR since 2011 and a member of the South West Committee since 2012. She is currently the group's committee Secretary and held the role of PRide Co-ordinator for the regional PRide awards in 2012. Gemma completed the CIPR Advanced Certificate in Public Relations in 2012.

Will is a PR and communications specialist with 20 years in the business. He began his career as a reporter on a weekly newspaper, rising to the role of Chief Reporter before taking his first role in PR at North Somerset Council. From there he worked at Bristol City Council before joining Avon & Somerset Police in 2000. Will spent 8 years with the police, rising to the role of Deputy Head of Corporate Communications (including two periods of Acting Head) and in 2008 joined the University of Bath as its Head of Corporate Communications, in charge of a department responsible for the corporate image and reputation of the world-class University.

An award-winning PR practitioner with more than 12 years' experience in marketing and public relations, Shelley founded Firegrass Communications in 2010.
Shelley's expertise lies in consumer PR with a particular focus on travel, tourism, lifestyle and food and drink sectors.
A CIPR Accredited Practitioner, Shelley won the Chartered Institute of PR's award for Outstanding Young Communicator of the Year at the West of England PRide awards in 2008. She was also named in the PR industry's magazine, PR Week, as one of the top 29 PR practitioners under the age of 29 in the UK in 2009 and featured in South West Business Insider's 42 under 42 in September 2010.

Zoe is a former journalist and has spent the past 12 years working in PR and has been a member of the CIPR throughout that time. After five years in a busy police press office she moved into the nuclear industry where she has spent the past seven years dealing with all aspects of PR, including crisis' such as Fukushima, as well as internal communications, stakeholder relations and most recently online and social media. Zoe joined the committee in 2011.

Julie is based in Bristol and has many years experience of working in communication roles in the Environment Agency. Most recently, she has been involved in crisis communications, organising the communications response for the national team.
She has been a member of the CIPR SW committee for just over a year and hosts regular breakfast sessions at the Environment Agency's offices in central Bristol.

Currently working for EDF Energy and specialising in internal communications, Verity is an Accredited Practitioner of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, having completed the CIPR Postgraduate Diploma in 2010. Verity has worked with the committee for three years.
Ben Veal, Social Media Officer
Ben has seven years' experience in strategic PR and marketing, having worked both in-house and agency-side with clients in the technology, property, and charity sectors. Ben works as a PR Account Manager at Media Safari, an award-winning PR and social media partner to global tech brands based in Bath. As part of the agency's experienced team, Ben provide supports to companies that operate in the areas of healthcare, B2B and digital lifestyle.Ben is also the co-founder of Guru Magazine, a digital-only publication supported by the Wellcome Trust, and is a columnist for the Daily Mirror. A CIPR Accredited Practitioner, Ben was a finalist for the South West 'Outstanding Young Communicator' PRide award in 2012 and has been a CIPR South West committee member since 2010.

Katrina works for the Forestry Commission, covering national proactive media and partnerships.
She chose to stay in Bristol after studying media and journalism at the University of the West of England. After a couple of years working for a PR agency in Bristol, Katrina took up the Communications Manager position at Westonbirt Arboretum - and hasn't looked back.
Katrina is an accredited practitioner and edits the CIPR South West region's members' newsletter. She is also currently studying for the CIPR PR Diploma.

Natasha Collins-Daniel Natasha has over eight years' experience working within the PR industry. After spending two years developing her skills with a PR agency working for a variety of clients on B2B campaigns, Natasha moved to the not-for-profit sector and currently holds the role of Press Manager at the Soil Association. Natasha graduated from the University of Exeter with a degree in public relations and community studies, has been a member of the CIPR since 2007 and a member of the CIPR South West Committee since 2011.

Tom has served on the CIPR South West committee since 2003, chairing the committee in 2009. In his day job as an associate director, Tom is a member of the senior management team in Grayling's Bristol office and heads up a wide variety of B2B and community relations accounts. Tom also lectures at universities in the region and ran the CIPR Diploma in Bristol between 2007 and 2009. Tom has a first-class Masters degree in Corporate Communications and holds the CIPR Advanced Certificate (Merit) and the CIPR Diploma (Merit).
