The aims and objectives of the Group are:
- To communicate with members of the CIPR (in whatever category of membership) who work within the health and medical field.
- To share, develop and promote best practice, both within and outside of the CIPR.
- To organise meetings, conferences, seminars, training workshops and social events for the benefit of the groups' members and others working in healthcare communications.
- To promote the views and opinions of the members to the CIPR, drawing on members' expertise and to advise the CIPR on Group issues.
- To promote the Health and Medical Group and the CIPR.
- To recruit members to the CIPR.
- To develop and promote the PR profession in the health and medical arena.
