iprovision is registered with the Charity Commission (no. 242674).
iprovision was set up by the Institute in 1965 and is governed by a Trust Deed:
to provide assistance in cash or in kind or in any other appropriate manner for the relief of poverty of any member and any bone fide dependant of any member or any deceased member.
As a charity iprovision works independently of the CIPR. However, all the Trustees are currently Members or Fellows of the Institute. They represent different geographical areas and sectors.
The only paid member of staff is a part time administrator, Jane Wharam, who handles day-to-day matters on behalf of the Trustees who meet quarterly.
Every year iprovision publishes its annual report and audited accounts.
