People helped by iprovision

iprovision

Here are some recent examples of the PR people we have been able to help.

Lucy

Lucy was made redundant from a PR consultancy and in hospital for major surgery within the same week. Worried about paying her rent, she contacted iprovision and was awarded an emergency grant and was then given further support to tide her over post-operation.

This helped me recover a lot quicker and I didn't have to worry about losing the roof over my head. I cannot thank iprovision enough for responding so quickly.

Malcolm

After years of unbroken service, Malcolm, a PR with a local council, had been off work for almost two years with a debilitating illness and was seeking early retirement on health grounds. With no pay, he had little or no money to meet the day-to-day bills. iprovision considered Malcolm's predicament and granted a short-term interest free loan to tide him over. On getting an early retirement package, Malcolm paid back the loan and donated to iprovision for the support received.

Laura

Laura, an independent PR, was confined to a wheelchair after a long and difficult period of ill health. No longer able to work, she asked iprovision to help meet the costs of making her small garden accessible. Estimates were obtained and iprovision awarded a one-off grant to enable the work to be carried out so that Laura would enjoy her garden again.

David

David retired some years ago from his PR business and was living on his state pension and very modest savings. His apartment block needed major repairs to the roof and windows and David got into serious debt, with his credit card company paying his share of the bill. In desperation, he contacted iprovision and we put David in touch with a debt counsellor. With a one-off grant and debt advice David was relieved of worry.

Carol

When Carol was diagnosed with breast cancer requiring surgery and intensive treatment, she wasn't able to work as a Senior PR and support her young family and disabled husband as in the past. iprovision was able to help and meet some costs to allow her young children to attend day care.

Paul

Paul, an experienced PR, applied for help after being out of work for months and unable to find another job. He had many extra costs in bringing up a disabled child who needed hospital treatments regularly. iprovision was able to make a one-off grant.

Many thanks again to the CIPR Benevolent fund for assisting me recently. The CIPR's support was pivotal to morale and pocket just when it was really needed.

Liz

Liz was just completing her public relations diploma course, and, with family financial problems, was struggling to make ends meet. iprovision was able to award a small grant to allow her to continue her studies and complete the course.
