At its Annual Parliamentary Researchers Reception on the 1 December 2011, the Chartered Institute of Public Relations Public Affairs group launched a new award to recognise the researcher who has provided the most valuable contribution in supporting the work of a Member of Parliament - whether in campaigning, speechwriting, policy research and briefings or otherwise.
CIPR Public Affairs Committee Members will form the judging panel which will draw up a short list from those nominated. However the winner will be selected by an online vote on the group's website.
Entry criteria
The competition is limited to support staff of Members of Parliament or Peers who hold a Parliamentary pass.
How to enter

- 400-word self-nomination which details specific examples of how they have contributed to the work of their Parliamentarian, and

or:
Colleague nomination:
- Two 200-word nomination statements from any of two separate individuals including employer, colleague, or friend within Parliament.
Either type of nomination may include supporting evidence (news coverage, photos, etc.) Nominations should be sent to ciprparesearcher@gmail.com.
