Urgent Rule Change: 2011 Education Journalism Awards
Due to a large number of requests and enquiries, the rules for the 2011 Education Journalism Awards have been changed. Entries will now be permitted which have been published or broadcast between 1st January 2010 and 5th September 2011.
This change has taken place because, over the last 7 years, the Awards Evening has gradually moved from late May to December, so it is now more relevant for the competition period to take account of the previous academic year, rather than the previous calendar year. In order to affect this change, there will be an extended publication window this year of 20 months. (Therefore, the 2012 Awards will cover the publication window of September 2011 to September 2012.)
If you have already submitted an entry, but would now like to submit other pieces published in 2011, please do so. Each journalist can submit a maximum of 3 entries, so if you wish to withdraw any of your previous entries in favour of the new ones, please include a note advising us which of your pieces you wish to withdraw.
Finally, please remember that the competition closing date is Friday 23rd September, and all entries must be received by then.
If you have any questions, please contact the Awards Administrator on janeshaw@talktalk.net or 01438 861898. We look forward to receiving your entries!
