Julio Romo is a Public Relations, Communications and Social Media Consultant. He is also a freelance journalist and a respected PR and respected social media blogger.

With over 12 years experience gained in-house and agency-side across a range of sectors, Julio offers support and training to ensure effective and integrated communications. Since 2008 he has also provided social media counsel.

He joined the GLG committee in 2004 and was the Deputy Chair before being elected Chair in February 2010.

Daljit Bhurji is Managing Director of Diffusion and a well known PR blogger. His agency specialises in designing and implementing PR and communication campaigns which effectively integrate media relations with Social Media and search engine marketing techniques. Daljit's PR and Social Media experience spans the Public Sector, FMCG, telecoms and technology brands. In 2008 he was featured in PR Week's PowerBook of the most influential people in the PR industry and described as able to "predict online PR trends before they happen". He has been Secretary of the GLG since Jan 2007.

Anthony was head of member relations for a not for profit road safety organisation. He has worked in different PR divisions for an oil major, and then for a US offshore engineering company. He has sat on the GLG committee since 2003.

Deborah is principal of Sam Weller Associates PR and is experienced in most sectors, particularly public affairs/government relations in national and local environments, especially the not-for-profit sector.

Founder-Chairman of the Greater London Group, later elected chairman, she has also served several terms on Council, where she currently serves on the Professional Practices Committee. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts (FRSA), she is also a vice-chairman of the CIPR Government Affairs Group.

After a career in fashion, Carrie turned to PR and headed up two London consultancies as managing director before becoming an independent consultant handling B2B and consumer campaigns as well as adhoc projects. Organising events and promotions are her speciality. She was a founder member, and chairman, of PR Exchange, a support association for freelance practitioners. The last six years she has been "putting something back" and worked for a couple of charities on their corporate partnerships and community days dealing with City CSR departments as well as arranging special event days including a tree planting ceremony with Nobel Peace Prize Winner, Wangari Maathai.

In 1985 she joined the GLG for which she has organised many speaker and social events. She became the group's chair and deputy chair as well as completing two x 6 year terms on Council and is a Millennium Founder Member of the Guild of Public Relations Practitioners, for which she organised its entry in the Lord Mayor's Show, and later was appointed to its Court.

A media relation specialist and trained journalist, Kike has followed politics and current affairs since before her teens and was clearly destined to be a great investigative journalist. Instead she has worked for clients across government departments and agencies, the NHS and the private sector, doing a stint at 10 Downing Street. She's covered national emergencies such as Foot and Mouth disease, and a number of high profile public inquiries, including Victoria Climbié and Bichard. After progressing from Media Relations Officer to Head of Communications, she's now a freelancer and continues to pursue dynamic media relations roles, with an interest in crisis, issues and reputation management.

Neil is managing director of London-based Cadence Market Strategy. He joined the Greater London Group in 2005 and was appointed to the committee in 2007. Neil has wide experience in all aspects of public relations working with some of the world's leading brands and organisations at national and international levels. He consults with brand leaders in areas as diverse as social regeneration, healthcare, financial services, corporate learning and education and engineering and technology.

Victoria has 11 years' PR experience, focusing mainly on media owners. She is currently PR manager for IPC Media, one of the UK's leading consumer magazine publishers, and prior to this she ran the press office of The Daily Telegraph and The Sunday Telegraph.

She also has experience working for organisations in education, finance and the arts.

Victoria is a PR graduate from Leeds Metropolitan University and was awarded the IPR prize for Best BAPR Student 2001. Victoria joined the Greater London Group committee in 2011.

Nora has been working in the B2B Electronic and Tech PR industry for a few years and has recently moved over to the B2C side of the business, working with Pan-European digital PR accounts for various tech clients. This is Nora's second year on the GLG committee. Nora graduated in 2006 with a BA (Hons) Corporate Communications from Queen Margaret University College, Edinburgh.

Josie Matthews has sat on the Committee almost as long as it's been going! Her career started as 'cub' reporter on weekly London papers where she gained her journalistic qualifications. However she soon moved to house journalism – including a stint for M & S - where she found the money better and the hours shorter! She was associate director of a Kensington based PR agency before starting her own consultancy more than 20+ years ago. Today she is a leading PR in the consumer electronics industry where she has handled a number of key brands.
