About
We aim to support CIPR members working internationally and in the UK; to facilitate understanding of cultural differences; build relations with other countries; and to benchmark, share and learn from best practice.
Our members are drawn from people working overseas as well as the UK. They have first hand knowledge to share with the group.
The group brings together the many different sectors within the international communications industry to network, discuss, and learn from each other about the issues facing communicators working internationally today. We do this by holding face-to-face events as well as virtual meetings so that our colleagues overseas can take part.
Benefits
The CIPR is the only professional body for the PR industry with a royal charter, providing members an unparalleled credibility both within the profession and outside it. The CIPR is highly respected and well resourced.
We provide a forum for debate and sharing of knowledge and experience. Through our newsletters, Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter you will be up-to-date on developments internationally.
Our events are a good way of connecting people who have something to share in the international arena and are great opportunities for networking and training.
We hold annual keynote events such as the prestigious Maggie Nally lecture, held at the Houses of Parliament, as well as fun networking parties and more educational events.
Our very successful 'letters from…' provide excellent insights into international practitioners and the unique perspectives of their counties.
Our members range from the youngest practitioners starting out on their careers to experienced practitioners working at the highest levels of government and industry and new members can benefit from this wealth of experience.
Who are our members?
Members are communication professionals who work in an international context either in the UK or in other countries. They come from in-house, consultancy and independent disciplines, with a wealth of multi-faceted experience.
