  • pay by phone or
  • online (you will need your CIPR membership invoice to hand when you pay online.)

  • Download a direct debit form to set up annual or quarterly payments
  • If you want to cancel an existing direct debit you must inform your bank and email subscriptions@cipr.co.uk at least 5 working days before the payment date

What are the annual membership fees?

Check the annual subscription fees. Annual subscription fees are non-transferable and non-refundable once your membership has been activated.

Are you a police or government communicator?

The CIPR has partnered with GCN (Government Communications Network) and APComm (the Association of Police Communicators) to offer their members a significantly subsidised CIPR membership subscription.

GCN members: log into the GCN website to access the renewal form under the professional development tab. Existing CIPR members can switch to the GCN rate when your membership is due for renewal.

Police communicators: If your Force is an APComm member, log into the APComm website to download the renewal form from the CIPR section. Existing APComm members can switch to the APComm rate when your membership is due for renewal.

Contact the Institute's membership team at membership@cipr.co.uk with any queries on either of these special rates.

Do you work in public affairs or lobbying?

The UK Public Affairs Council (UKPAC) maintains a register of those engaged in lobbying. If you meet UKPAC's definition of a lobbyist it is a condition of CIPR membership that you register your details via the UKPAC websbite.

IPRovision voluntary contributions

Iprovision is the CIPR's benevolent fund which meets the needs of those members who are seriously ill, experiencing hardship or without work. Members are asked each year if they would like to pay an additional discretionary payment of £10 towards the Institute's benevolent fund.
