A little more about our hosts

The idea for CIPR TV originated with the CIPR's Social Media Panel, keen to find new ways to engage with members and to build discussions on important PR issues. Two of our Panel members offered to host the programme:

Stephen Waddington

Well known PR blogger and CIPR Member Stephen Waddington is a former journalist who moved into PR in the early 1990s to work with British technology start-ups. He has consulted on some of the world's largest technology brands and is a regular commentator on PR issues in the media, in particular on digital communication. He co-founded Rainier PR, which is now Speed's technology team, in 1998, having worked for two large PR firms, Brodeur (Omnicom, NYSE: OMC) and Weber Shandwick (Interpublic Group, NASDAQ: IPG).

Philip Sheldrake

Philip is a consultant and chair of the CIPR's Social Media Measurement Group. A founding partner of Fuse PR, which he sold to Racepoint Group in 2006, his expertise spans everything related to influence and social Web analytics. Author of the Social Web Analytics eBook, Philip also authored the Digital Marketing chapter of an upcoming book celebrating the centenary year of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, and is writing a book on transforming traditional marketing and PR strategies in a digital world, to be published in Spring 2011.
