Elections underway for CIPR President-Elect and Council

Elections are today underway for the role of CIPR President-Elect for 2011 and the seven seats on the 2011 Council, the Institute's governing body. Candidate statements and election guidelines are now available to view, with voting open to Fellows, full Members, overseas members in the Fellow and full Member categories, retired Members and Honorary Fellows. The deadline for voting is noon on 19 November and results will be announced on 26 November.

The candidates for President-Elect are Rob Brown, Managing Director of Staniforth and Sally Sykes, Communications Director at Health & Safety Executive. The successful candidate will take up their position as President-Elect on 1 January 2011, alongside the new President for 2011, Paul Mylrea.

Jenifer Stirton, Director of Communications for NHS Lothian, will assume the role of Treasurer in 2011 following an uncontested election.
