The CIPR's 2010 State of the Profession annual benchmarking survey with ComRes showed that 34% of CIPR members work in-house in the public sector, and countless more practitioners are employeed by consultancies working in partnership with public sector bodies. The CIPR offers a range of resources and activities with these members in mind, and its Local Public Services sectoral group is a voice for communications professionals in all local public services such as local government, health, housing and education.
