Accredited Practitioner status is evidence that you are committed to keeping your professional skills and knowledge up-to-date and continually developing and broadening your horizons.
The status is awarded if you are a Full Member or Fellow who has accumulated 120 points of CPD activity. As the annual requirement for CPD is capped at 60 points, this usually takes place after you have completed two full years of CPD.
If 120 points is reached before you upgrade to Full Membership, the status will be awarded once you upgrade.
You will be able to track your progress towards Accredited Practitioner in your CPD account. Future website developments will enable us to receive an alert once 120 points are achieved. In the meantime, you should notify Deborah Liddle, who will confirm that you have achieved the status, send you a logo for personal and professional use and add you to our online list of Accredited Practitioners.
Please note that Accredited Practitioner status is valid only for as long as you are a CIPR member and continue to participate in CPD. The CIPR Accredited Practitioner logos are for individual use only, not business or company use. You are permitted to use the logos on personal business cards and stationery.
In some circumstances, you can achieve Accredited Practitioner status in one year.
Accredited Practitioner status will be awarded to Members (MCIPR) who have:
- completed two continuous years of CPD or
- have completed the CIPR Diploma and are registered for CPD
or - have completed a CIPR recognised Masters degree and are registered for CPD
