There are three types of recognition that UK and international courses can apply for. The CIPR will consider applications from courses and certificates at all levels.
Full recognition
Full recognition will be granted to PR/Communication subjects that can demonstrate that their content encompasses all five of our criteria.
Partial recognition
Partial recognition will be granted to PR/Communication subjects that meet four or less of our criteria. This can be upgraded upon meeting the final element at any time. This includes joint honours programmes.
Module recognition
Courses in any subject with a module covering PR/Communications may apply for recognition of one or more modules.
There is no limit to how many full, partial or module recognitions, and combinations, that may be held by any University or institution.
