bullet Diversity within the CIPR Executive Board
The CIPR Executive Board has made a commitment to promoting diversity as a significant industry issue. Our immediate past-President Anne Gregory FCIPR, current member of the CIPR Executive Board, is leading the Chartered Institute's work on diversity. Promoting diversity within the profession has become one of the Board's main objectives

bullet Diversity contact officer
A full-time public affairs officer with a heavy focus on diversity has been appointed by the Chartered Institute. The new staff member will help devise, co-ordinate and promote the CIPR's diversity activities

bullet The Diversity Group
A networking group of PR practitioners from diverse backgrounds and people working with diversity related issues has been formed to advise and inform our diversity strategy. This networking group also provides the opportunity to exchange ideas, experiences and best practice

bullet Roundtables on diversity
The CIPR runs formal diversity networking events. The roundtables on diversity give PR professionals from different backgrounds an opportunity to meet and discuss the issues. For the CIPR, they provide feedback on its strategy

bullet Diversity micro-website
The CIPR website now has a new section dedicated to the issue of diversity. This dynamic area contains our policy on diversity, testimonials, case studies, reports and other resources for members and their organisations

bullet Employment policy
The Chartered Institute has always been an equal opportunities employer. It observes all applicable laws regarding non-discrimination and it does not discriminate on the basis of race, colour, sex, religion, national origin, family background, age, disability, or sexual orientation in its educational programmes, recruitment and employment practices
