What can the CIPR do for you? As the public relations professional body for the UK – and the largest PR association in Europe – the CIPR can help you at all stages of your PR career.

Membership: All CIPR members sign to a Code of Conduct, which means they must adhere to certain standards in their working life. Joining the CIPR therefore signals your commitment to professionalism. There are many other benefits of becoming a member, including networking opportunities, support for your career development, news on the latest industry developments, dedicated resources.

Training: The CIPR workshop programme provides a high standard of training, with practical sessions designed to equip you with the understanding and knowledge of PR and business skills to progress in your career.

We get a good level of feedback from delegates: during 2005 93% rated our trainers as very good or excellent and 88% said the workshop attended met their objectives.

Professional qualifications: the CIPR Diploma and the CIPR Advanced Certificate are postgraduate courses, designed for practitioners in full time employment. The focus is on professional knowledge, personal development and vocational skills. Both courses also provide a route into CIPR membership.

Events: the CIPR runs a comprehensive events programme which includes one-day conferences throughout the year, the national conference in November, and breakfast briefings aimed at practitioners with up to two years’ experience. The CIPR regional and sectoral groups also run their own networking and personal development events.
