One of the CIPR’s roles in education is to foster high calibre research in public relations and to support its growth of both so that PR scholarship and vocational standards in the UK increase.
The CIPR academic conferences began as a one-off gathering to showcase the excellent work done by both academia and those working in industry in the field of PR research. The success of the first conference (Bournemouth, 2003) led to the running of the second (Lincoln, 2005) and plans are to make this a regular fixture in the CIPR’s events calendar.
The purpose of these conferences is to act as a bridge between the academic and industrial communities so that information about best practice and new thinking in PR are shared. more >
