CIPR approved courses

The CIPR approves degree courses which have been taken through a stringent process to ensure they are sufficiently rigorous in terms of academic content and provide appropriate levels of practice suited to the needs of the industry.

Students studying these qualifications are eligible to join the CIPR as Student Members. Membership provides access to the member area of our website, where we have a dedicated student area which offers help and advice on getting into the PR industry. As well as many other benefits, there is a work placement finder, which is an invaluable tool to help Student Members get either internships or holiday placements to aid them in achieving their first graduate job in the industry.

Find out more about student membership and the benefits.

On completion of a CIPR approved course, Student Members are offered the opportunity to upgrade to Associate Membership (ACIPR) at a discounted rate. If they also have three or more years’ experience in PR they are eligible to upgrade to full membership (MCIPR).

Below are courses that are currently approved, with the dates they are due for re-approval. If you previously studied a PR degree and are applying for membership, click here to find a list of all the courses that have previously been approved. Courses are assessed upon application; if you are interested in seeking approval for your course, contact Vicky King (victoriak@cipr.co.uk).
