What goes on at the Press Association? - find out more from PA Editor Jonathan Grun

The Press Association (PA) is at the heart of the media industry, providing a continuous feed of text, pictures, video and data into newsrooms around the country. Helping to set the news agenda, the PA influences what appears each day in national and regional newspapers, broadcast media and digital platforms.

Join the Greater London Group in a unique opportunity to discover how best to work with PA to benefit their PR campaigns, either by targeting its journalists, or using PA's services for the PR industry.

The GLG is delighted to announce that PA editor Jonathan Grun has agreed to be our main speaker.

He will explain:

  • the newswire, which is received by all national and regional newspapers and major broadcasters, and how it operates
  • how PRs can submit an upcoming event to the PA diary which news organisations use for their forward planning
  • how PRs can get stories on the wire, whether it's a feature, home, business, political, sport or entertainment news story.

We also anticipate that one of PA's specialist writers or content producers will be speaking.

Wine and light bites will also be served.

We have just 60 places available for this event.

Priority will be given to CIPR members in the first instance. Early booking is advised to avoid disappointment.

Cost: £10 - CIPR members; £14 - non-members.
