We are pleased to announce that our new CIPR President, Sally Sykes FCIPR will join us as guest speaker at our 2012 AGM. In a year when CIPR is focusing on increasing membership in a challenging environment, Sally will be discussing the issues facing the PR industry in 2012 and highlighting ways in which regional groups like ours can help promote the benefits that our professional body can offer to existing and potential members.

Speaker details:
Sally Sykes was elected CIPR President on Jan 1 2012, she joined the Health and Safety Executive as Communications Director in December 2008 from global healthcare giant Johnson & Johnson. At the Health and Safety Executive, Sally leads a team of 76 marketing, design, media relations, internal communications, on-line and PR professionals. She has also held senior communications positions with Astra Zeneca Pharmaceuticals, Ciba-Geigy, Scottish & Newcastle, Littlewoods and Manchester Airport. She is a Fellow of the Institute and has previously been CIPR Treasurer and a PR Professional of the Year for the North West of England.
