Welcome to the CIPR North East Region.

Our members live or work in the area from the Scottish Borders down to North Yorkshire.

They work in-house in the public, private and voluntary sectors, in consultancies or as independent practitioners. We welcome student members and support CIPR approved courses, currently at Sunderland University.

Our aim is to support members in the region and to promote the value of professional PR to organizations and businesses.

We run a varied programme of events throughout the year designed to develop our professional skills, keep up to date with major issues in the region and in the profession and to provide opportunities to network - and enjoy ourselves.

These are challenging times and it is important that we demonstrate to employers and clients the value and effectiveness of all aspects of PR at a strategic and operational level. We all have a responsibility to demonstrate that PR is more far reaching than media relations, encompassing other key aspects such as the online world, internal communications, issues management, public affairs and event management.
