CIPR North West

(Cheshire, Conwy, Cumbria, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Manchester, Gwynedd, Lancashire, Merseyside, Wrexham, Yns Mon)

Welcome to the North West Section

The North West Group has almost 600 members in a region which takes in Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, Merseyside, Cheshire, Clwyd and Gwynedd.

Here you can find details of the members of the elected committee which organises activities for the region. There are specific roles such as membership, treasurer and events for some members.

Throughout the year, the Group organises events designed to keep members abreast of the latest developments in both the PR industry and the North West region.

The Group actively organises Meet the Media sessions, giving PR professionals the opportunity to hear from and question journalists from newspapers, radio, television and online services in the region.

Each year, the North West Committee joins forces with counterparts in Yorkshire & Lincolnshire and the North East to organise a Northern regional conference, attracting top names in the media industry and hosting workshops.

Training courses are also laid on in the region, in conjunction with the CIPR, providing local options for improving skills.

Attendance at our events and training sessions also counts towards the CIPR’s Continuous Professional Development (CPD) scheme.

We maintain strong links with CIPR-approved university courses in the region, helping PR students to make the most of their membership and play a part in gaining early experience of the PR profession.

The region hosts the annual North West PRide Awards in the Autumn, which helps promote excellence in PR industry.
