Book your ticket(s) for the Media Dinner now Venue: Hilton Hotel, Cardiff Time: 7pm for 7.30pm start Cost: Ł65 +VAT (corporate rate) Ł55 +VAT (individuals* rate) This dinner will follow a similar in format to last year ... a glamorous mix of good company, fine food and wine, entertainment and conversation at The Hilton in Cardiff. Virtually all of the tickets have been sold... but there are a few left. We have room for two full tables and also some spare seats at mixed tables where we will place small groups and individuals (let us know of any preference); it's a wonderful way to make new contacts. Cabaret - Ricky Grover "Hilarious" The Sun Born and bred in London's East End, Ricky tried his hand as a hairdresser and a boxer before becoming an actor/writer/comedian and stalwart of the UK comedy circuit and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Illiterate until he was in his early thirties, he is now a prolific, award-winning writer. "Astonishing!" Daily Telegraph He wrote and starred in two short films. The theatrically-released PUNCH won him the prestigious Silver Bear Award at the Berlin Film Festival; and his Channel 4 film HUNGRY won him Best Actor Award at the Brest Film Festival. "Absolutely knockout" Guardian Ricky was well-reviewed for his appearances in the BBC2 comedy series 'ORRIBLE. And his character Bulla was not only featured on Channel 4's THE 11 O'CLOCK SHOW but even interviewed chat show host Michael Parkinson for BBC TV. His alter ego 'Bulla' also writes a monthly page in Front magazine. *"Thank God for Ricky Grover" London Evening Standard* Ricky can currently be seen performing live with his one-man show in theatres around the UK; headlining at all the top comedy clubs across the country and, of course, top-of-the-bill at this year's CIPR Media Dinner! Please note: Tickets will only we issued when your cheque has been received and cleared, so cheque with order is essential at this late stage. We are aware that VAT affects individual members who are not VAT registered and so we are offering a lower price to individual members compared to corporate bookings. Corporate bookings have only increased by Ł5 per head from last year. Tickets will only be issued when your cheque has been received and cleared. *NB: 'Individuals' are CIPR members who will be bearing the cost of the ticket themselves and not passing the cost on to any organisation.
