• To be a voice for the communications industry serving science, engineering and technology
  
• Educate members of the group on trends and issues that fall within the Science, Engineering and Technology domain
  
• Develop industry specific collateral and guidelines (e.g toolkits / white papers) for those who supply, buy and / or manage PR services
  
• Give people in the industry the opportunity to network and exchange ideas on best practice
