The internet is rapidly changing the way we access news and how companies communicate to their audiences. PROs can effectively deliver their message and help manage their clients' reputations on these new channels but how? This event will look at the following questions:

  • How do you achieve success?
  • How do you minimise risk in the internet arena?

  Networking for Success - a lively evening of networking in preparation for the schmoozing and socialising that accompanies the Christmas party season

Relationship building is crucial in the communications industry and constantly improving our networking skills is key to long-term business success. But how many of us can say we are totally comfortable marketing ourselves in this way? Kerry Savage, managing director of leading PR training company, Savage Communications, will reveal how to 'network with confidence'.

During the session, you will learn how to prepare for a networking event; how to describe your business succinctly and convincingly; how to join a group effortlessly; how to maintain stimulating conversations; how to break away and circulate with ease.

This informative, interactive presentation will be followed by the opportunity to put your networking skills into practice in a fun and relaxed atmosphere, over drinks and nibbles.

  Perfect Pitch - find out the inside track on how to win that pitch

A recent survey of 50 PR agencies revealed that only 1.5% of their time is spent on business development, yet winning pitches and retaining those wins is the lifeblood of any PR business.
How confident are you doing a pitch / winning new business? It isn’t by chance that certain people win more than their fair share of business at the expense of others. How do they do it? Is there a secret formula?

Following a highly successful event in London, we are bringing this event to the North West region with outstanding speaker Malcolm Gallagher FCIM. Malcolm runs a performance-enhancing training company and is an acclaimed international motivational speaker who will give you the confidence you need to win the pitch. The interactive session in this event will have you working in teams to present your pitch to a ‘Dragons’ Den’ style panel including Helen Wailes, Communications Director of AstraZeneca and Neil Roscoe, Senior Press Officer at the NWDA.
