CIPR Website Member Area

If you are having difficulty entering the CIPR member area, please follow the guidelines below...

Data entry:

  • Ensure you are only entering your surname (not forename and surname) and that it is capitalised as necessary e.g. 'Stevenson'
    T
    he Login is case-sensitive.

  • Ensure you are entering your private membership number that appears on your membership card (not the four digit listing number that appears in the Register of Members)

  • If you have a letter after your five digit number it needs to be entered in upper case  - if you do not have your membership number,
    call 020 7766 3333 (Mon-Fri, 9am-5.30pm)

  • Ensure your computer is not automatically entering a password it has ‘memorised’ from a different site (indicated by a series of asterisks)

Computer set-up:

  • Your internet browser must be set up to allow the use of ‘Cookies’ and, if it specifies, ‘Session Cookies'

To check the above, please refer to your software user manual, technical helpline, or ‘help’ function etc. Some likely guidelines are set out below*:

As a general guide for Explorer users: these settings can be found by clicking on ‘Tools’ or ‘Views’ on your internet browser and then selecting ‘Internet Options’. Then select either ‘Advanced’ or ‘Security’ (dependent on the version you are using). In ‘Advanced’ scroll through the list of options and select to allow ‘Cookies’, press OK and Apply as required. In ‘Security’ adjust your settings, typically by selecting ‘Custom Level’.

As a general guide for Netscape users: these settings can be found by clicking on ‘Edit’ on your internet browser and then selecting ‘Preferences’. Then select ‘Advanced’. In ‘Advanced’ scroll through the list of options and select to allow ‘Cookies’.

NOTE: have you recently installed a firewall? Many firewalls are set up to not allow cookies - you will need to configure your firewall to allow session cookies to enter the member area. Session cookies are stored on your computer only for that internet session. They automatically delete when you log off the internet.
