Note from Chair

2010 will challenge many of us in the consultancy, in-house and voluntary sectors in our respective roles as communications professionals. Never have our skills, experience and foresight been more in demand and I’m confident that collectively we will work through these challenging days to do what we do best – and that’s deliver.

Northern Ireland as a region is viewed very highly by the CIPR and we can be proud of our local industry and individual achievements. So let’s continue to “punch above our weight” in the coming months and be positive about what we do and our very real contribution to every aspect of life here.

Our vision remains to raise the profile and professional standing of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations in Northern Ireland, to represent and support members through the provision of tailor-made professional development events, benchmarking through awards, networking opportunities, sharing best practice and forging close links between the Public Relations industry and key stakeholders.

This CIPR Regional website is designed to keep you up to date with the latest news and activities of the CIPR in Northern Ireland. Your feedback and views are appreciated and I look forward to working closely with many of you throughout the year.
Warm regards,

Joanne Sweeney, MCIPR

Chair of CIPR Northern Ireland
