Ingredient Sourcing

As an organisation, we aim to make a positive impact with our responsible product sourcing.  These are the key areas that we focus on:

Organic – we have signed up to the Soil Association's Charter which means that we look to source products and ingredients from organic sources whenever practical.  This does not mean that all of our food is organic but dishes may contain some (or all) organic ingredients.  Other items, such as our Numi teas, are entirely organic.  We would be happy to create a bespoke organic catering package for you.

Fairtrade – we source a number of products that are either entirely Fairtrade, or made from some Fairtrade ingredients.  The sugar served with our hot beverages for example, is Fairtrade and our coffee, from Union Hand-Roasted, is sourced through their own 'fairly traded' programme.

Local sourcing – where practical, we aim to source local produce in a bid to reduce the environmental impact of excessive 'food miles'.  Our suppliers are briefed to send us products from the closest, best quality sources.

GM products – we do not knowingly use products that contain genetically modified ingredients and our suppliers are informed that we will not accept any goods containing these items.

Healthy eating – we have refined our cooking methods and recipes to incorporate healthier ingredients where possible. For example, we use minimal salt in our cooking processes, preferring customers to add more if they wish, and we use olive oil and semi-skimmed or skimmed milk as standard.


Staffing for your hospitality event

When you book a room at The Chartered Institute of Public Relations, the furniture set up and break down of the room is included in the Room Hire Charge.

If you require food or beverages to be available, please allow a hospitality set up and clearing up charge of £75.00 (£60.00 for members' events).

You may wish to host your event personally, and allocate people to pour drinks and to pass food.  If you require staff to serve your food or drinks or an event manager to oversee and manage the event, please allow £75 for each serving staff and £225 for an event manager (£60.00 and £180.00 respectively for members' events).

Prices

The prices quoted on these pages are for non members of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. Members of the CIPR enjoy a 20% discount on these prices (shown in brackets). All prices are subject to VAT


Special menus

We are happy to cater for any special dietary needs, either for individuals or entire events

For executive lunches and dinners, please contact the hospitality department at CIPR and we will be delighted to create a unique menu for your special occasion. Prices are £46.25 per person (£37.00)
