The eyes, ears and voice of the PR industry...

The CIPR’s public affairs department seeks to be the eyes, ears and voice of the UK PR industry and ensures that its members are informed about current issues affecting the profession.

To this end, it monitors and researches developments within Government and the news, and seeks to engage opinion leaders in its activities. Many of the CIPR's initiatives - such as the on-going campaign for Planning, Research & Evaluation (PRE) to drive public relations activities - are driven by the work of the public affairs team.

The Global Alliance

The CIPR is also a leading member of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management ( www.globalpr.org ) and has a special interest sectoral group for public affairs consultants, the CIPR Government Affairs Group (GAG).
