The CIPR Diploma in Public Relations

The CIPR Diploma is wholly owned by the Institute, which is responsible for appointing the examiners and controlling and maintaining the level, quality and content of the syllabus. The Diploma provides a bench mark for the industry, and thus raises professional standards and offers PR practitioners a platform for continuous professional development.

The Diploma provides public relations practitioners with the knowledge and understanding of theory and practice to develop as effective and efficient professionals. The course provides an understanding of the strategic roles and functions of the public relations practitioner. Students will appreciate the practice of public relations as a management function and be encouraged to analyse critically. The Diploma level is for more experienced professionals without an industry specific qualification and provides advanced capability in management and practice.

It is a condition of being accepted on the course that students who are not already CIPR members apply for membership of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations. Students should apply at the grade relevant to their experience, but at the heavily discounted rate of £130.
