This page explains the terms on which CIPR provides the information and services available through this and other CIPR-operated websites, or third party websites offering CIPR products and services.

Your privacy

In order to provide you with a more customised experience and to allow us to focus our resources on improving our websites in the most effective way, this website will set cookies on your computer. These are small fragments of information that are sent back to us every time you load a page from our website, and allow us to connect together all pages read by the same person.

If you hold a CIPR membership, this website also holds your CIPR personal account details. Some of these details are available in our member directory to be viewed by other members. You can control the privacy level of your profile once you have signed in.

The CIPR holds your personal information in accordance with our data protection policy and the law. We are a registered data controller at the Information Commissioner's Office, with registration number Z1498501.

Event bookings

The CIPR cannot accept provisional bookings. All bookings must be made using the official CIPR booking form or though an officially authorised ticketing partner.

All bookings will be confirmed in writing by the CIPR within 72 hours. Please check this confirmation carefully. All errors and amendments must be notified in writing within 48 hours of receipt. If you do not receive your order confirmation within 72 hours please contact the CIPR on 020 7631 6900 or email info@cipr.co.uk.

Programme, attendance and joining instructions will be provided five days before the event, provided fees have been paid.

The CIPR reserves the right to alter the programme, trainers or speakers without prior notification.

If deemed absolutely necessary, the CIPR reserves the right to cancel an event up to seven days before the date of the event and will refund 100% of the booking fee where this has been paid in full.

The CIPR will not be held responsible for travel, accommodation, or other contingent expenses for delegates who fail to attend sessions for any reason.

Payment terms

Unless agreed otherwise with the CIPR, all bookings must be paid at least 7 days prior to the event taking place. Our preferred method of payment is by credit card at the time of booking. If an invoice is requested you will be asked to provide a purchase order number and accounts payable contact details.

Cheques should be made payable to the CIPR and the invoice number should be quoted on the remittance advise or the back of the cheque. The CIPR regrets it is unable to accept BACS payments.

All invoiced fees are due within 30 days of invoice date. Where an invoice is issued less than 30 days prior to the event, payment should be made in full 5 days before the first session takes place. All disputed items must be notified in writing within 14 days of reciept of an invoice.

We understand and will exercise our statutory right to claim interest and compensation charges under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts [Interest] Act 1998 as amended and supplemented by the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Regulations 2002 if payment is not received in accordance with our agreed terms of payment.

Cancellations and transfer terms

All cancellation and transfer requests must be made in writing to the CIPR. Cancellation by telephone will not be accepted. Only one transfer is permitted per booking. Transfers can be made from one delegate to another or from one workshop to another.

A cancellation of a booking, which has already been transferred, will not be refunded.

The CIPR cannot offer refunds to delegates who fail to attend sessions for reasons outside the control of the CIPR. Administration charges on transfers and cancellations are as follows:

* Delegates are entitled to send a substitute
