CIPR Groups represent the views and needs of members across the UK, overseas and in wide ranging industry sectors and disciplines. Many groups appoint their committees at their AGM's in September and October so it's worth getting in touch with our Groups a few months in advance if you're keen to serve on a committee.
CIPR Cymru
The Cymru committee has a reputation for delivering a wide programme of training, networking, panels and conferences, plus the best PRide Awards night in the UK. Probably. The committee has seen some changes recently because members keep getting new and exciting roles, and moving on. So, if you are a member living or working in Wales, your committee needs you. We are looking to reenergise the events programme to include: monthly online lunch and learn session, quarterly in-person networking and guest speaker events around Wales, a spring conference, summer social, PRide Awards, AGM with campaign showcase and in-person training. We are looking for 7-10 new committee members and co-optees from all sectors and career points. Sports Network
The Sports Network launched in autumn 2022, hosting a well-received virtual event ahead of the World Cup, with speakers Adrian Bevington and Owen Hargreaves. The Network are looking for new volunteers to join the committee. The committee plan to meet virtually on a regular basis, engage with CIPR members via email and social media, and coordinate events of interest. If you have experience or keen interest in the sports industry and a few hours a week to spare, Co-Chair David Alexander would love to hear from you, just register your interest at the bottom of the page.
Corporate & Financial Group
We are seeking additional volunteers to become Committee members for the CIPR Corporate & Financial Group, with a particular focus on helping co-ordinate event activities for the group.
Working with the Group’s Committee Secretary, the role would include planning and co-ordinating upcoming group events and marketing, collaborating with other committee members on event ideas, ensuring that we deliver a relevant and interesting events programme to engage existing and future members effectively. The Group holds c. six lunchtime media events a year, three panel events, a summer party and annual dinner.
It would suit someone from an in-house or agency background who is keen to make the time to get involved with an industry group, grow their own network and build their social capital along the way. We actively encourage and welcome interest from volunteers from Black, Asian and other Ethnic Minority backgrounds as part of our commitment to grow diverse representation among our membership.

Greater London Group
The Greater London Group is looking to recruit co-opted members to come and help us deliver our plans for the rest of the year. Committee life is great, the team - led by Andy West, are super passionate and ambitious about delivering great events, sharing insight relevant to PR practitioners of all walks and more importantly, enacting change.
