Call for Board Director nominations
Nominations for Board Directors on terms from 2027-2029.
Nominations opened on Wednesday 29 April and closed Friday 22nd May at 17:00 BST.
Voting will begin Wednesday 16 September and will end Monday 28 September at midday.
The CIPR Council Members will vote for their choice of candidate with the count conducted by our independent elections provider Mi-Voice.
Election results will then be announced on Thursday 1st October 2026

The nomination form is open to CIPR members and non members and has now closed.
Election process
Our Nominations Committee review all Board applications, taking into account any priorities identified by the Board for relevant future terms of office. The Nominations Committee propose a slate of candidates for our Council to vote on. Submitting an application does not guarantee a place in the Board elections.
What we look for in Board members
We seek individuals who can provide leadership on key issues facing the CIPR now and in the future including:
Effective financial oversight of a complex organisation
Supporting the business development of the Institute
Identifying and managing risks
Allocating resources to achieve CIPR’s goals in line with our strategy and Charter
Ensuring inclusivity and representation, meeting the National Equality Standard
Willingness to serve as chair or deputy chair of one of the CIPR’s standing committees
If you are a CIPR member, it is a requirement that you are completing CIPR CPD. If you are a member of another professional association, you will likewise be expected to show that you meet its CPD requirements.
Desired perspectives and experience
We particularly welcome candidates who can bring diverse perspectives from different areas of the PR industry, whether from PR agencies, in-house roles, or freelance consultancy. Your unique insights and experiences will help us cover the broad range of roles and expertise within our industry.
