Nominations for Council Member positions serving the term Jan 2027- Dec 2028 opened on Wednesday 29th April and closed Friday 22nd May 17:00 BST.

Voting will take place Wednesday 16th September – midday Monday 28th and the count conducted by Mi-Voice, our independent elections provider. 
      
Election results will be announced on Thursday 1st October 2026.

The Council election process

The application process for Council is managed by the CIPR Nominations Committee, which is charged with recommending to members a competent, representative, diverse and balanced group of candidates for CIPR elections to Board and Council. Voting Members of CIPR then vote on the list of recommended candidates to elect those who should serve on Council. 
 
If you are a CIPR member, it is an application requirement that you are completing CIPR CPD.
