How does an effective PR leader operate?

How does an effective PR leader operate?

How does an effective PR leader operate?
The CIPR North East PR Book Club returns this Autumn in person with Prof. Anne Gregory in discussion about the new edition of 'Strategic Public Relations Leadership' on Thursday, 20 October at 6.30pm.

"An organisation’s reputation is determined not by expert publicity programs, but the alignment of declared and enacted values as judged by those with whom it has a relationship.”

- How can public relations professionals champion excellence in  communication and leadership to enhance organisational reputation and engagement with stakeholders?
- How can PR leaders articulate and demonstrate their own contribution to organisational effectiveness?
- What do Chief Executives expect from public relations leaders?

Those are only some of the questions the revised edition of "Strategic Public Relations Leadership” addresses to help PR leaders and their organisations operate at the top of their game.

An internationally acclaimed expert in PR, an advisor to UK Government, and a former Global Alliance Chair, Anne will discuss her pioneering approach to integrating thinking around public relations, leadership, and strategy communication management in conversation with Ramona Slusarczyk, a lecturer in Public Relations at Newcastle University.

Anne Gregory is a Professor of Corporate Communication at the University of Huddersfield and a leading international academic. A former Global Alliance Chair and Director of the Centre for Public Relations Studies, an internationally recognised think tank, Anne remains an advisor to UK Government and the Director of the Global Capabilities Framework which has adopted by the Global Alliance of Public Relations and Communication Management since its publication in 2018. Her pioneering approach to PR and communication which combines academic expertise with many years of experience in public relations practice at senior levels both in-house and in consultancy is also evidenced by the publication of many exemplary studies and textbooks, including the PR in Practice series.
