Guest Speaker Bios

 

Ben Verinder 

Ben is managing director of Chalkstream, an agency specialising in reputation research, training and management across a range of sectors.  Ben is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR), a former lead assessor for chartered status and one of 50 Founding chartered practitioners. A former in-house communications director and business development lead of an international software company, Ben is a contributor to a wide range of publications on artificial intelligence, including ‘Humans Still Needed – An analysis of skills and tools in public relations’ and ‘Ethics Guide to Artificial Intelligence in PR’. He has recently designed and launched an AI and Reputation Leadership course with the CIPR. Ben’s specialist interests include the use of technology in communication, behavioural science in PR practice and, more broadly, change management. He has first-hand experience of running an international campaign related to real-world impacts of algorithmic decision making.

 

Kate Everett

A former regional press feature writer and editor Kate Everett is the founder of The Write Impression (TWI).
From its foundation in 2018, Kate has grown the Colchester-based business to a full-service PR and marketing agency with UK and international clients in a diverse range of sectors including technology, education, health and social care, petrochemicals and renewable energy. Kate is passionate about business culture and is a member of the Business Culture Awards judging panel. She is a volunteer Non-Executive Director (NED) for the Colchester Business Enterprise Agency and received an award for Services to Enterprise from the National Enterprise Network (NEN) in 2020.

 


Adam Tuckwell 

Adam joined Mobas in 2016, originally serving as the Head of PR and Social Media before joining the Mobas board with ownership of the firm’s retention strategy and digital marketing function. In this wide-ranging role, Adam oversees the agency’s new business, growth, profitability and team development. His enthusiasm for people, culture and professional development is infectious. With a strong background in PR and communications, Adam was appointed a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of PR in 2019. He also hosts the popular PR Hub Podcast in his free time. Prior to Mobas, Adam worked in senior communications roles for Cambridge University Press and Jagex. 

 

Chris Summers

Chris is Director of Marketing and Communications at Provide Community, an employee-owned community interest company, specialising in health and social care services and innovations. In this wide-ranging role which also covers PR and sales, Chris leads the team’s development and delivery to support the organisations growth and reputation. With a rich carer spanning engineering, manufacturing, pharmaceutical sales and in the last decade, marketing and communications, Chris brings a wealth of experience and deep market insight into his role and team. Chris has a personal passion for AI and it’s potential to transform the services that he delivers and works with and is always testing its capabilities and using it’s the latest advancements.

Venue details: The Plaza, Enterprise and Innovation Centre, Rutherford Park, Great Notley, Braintree, CM77 7AU. 
There is parking available on site – do not use the pay and display machine in the car park. Please report to reception and sign your car registration in on the tablet to park for free. If you do not enter your car registration on the tablet at reception you are at risk of getting a ticket. The venue will not be able to dispute any tickets given due to the registration not being entered.
