Joe Cronin, exploring social media trends

From the impact of AI to the explosion of TikTok, join McCann Managing Partner, Joe Cronin for a deep dive into the world of social media in 2023.  Having transformed into an essential media channel to be included as part of any campaign’s media mix, the session will investigate how behaviour with social platforms has changed.  Drawing on data from GWI and Mintel, the session will be informative journey into how people consume content and what’s in-store for the future. 

Joe is Managing Partner at McCann Central, heading up the social media team. Joe has worked in social media for 15 years, with a variety of clients that almost reads like a weekly shop! Working with brands such as Heineken, Chupa Chups, Fruittella, Budweiser, Aston Manor Cider and Julius Meinl, Joe has extensive experience on how to utilise social media channels as part of the wider marketing mix to demonstrate effectiveness.

Noha AAfifi and Rachel Roberts, growing equity, diversity and inclusion in the PR industry


Noha is the Director of Fundraising, Marketing & Communications of the UK charity Arthritis Action. She has over 18 years' experience across various sectors including higher education, technology, non-profits and healthcare, both in the UK and internationally.   
 
Noha is also a trustee of National Voices, a coalition of health and social care charities working towards person-centred care, and is a board member of the CIPR. She has been named in PRWeek UK’s Power Book 2021, 2022 and 2023, which recognises the top communications professionals in the country.  
 
She has a keen interest in equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) and is part of CIPR’s EDI committee developing the institute’s new EDI strategy whilst working towards attaining the National Equality Standard.

Diversity & Inclusion will succeed when it is a natural part of daily life, not an add-on or target. Together with Rachel Roberts, CIPR Vice President, board member and chair of the EDI Committee, Noha invites you to grow your D&I by drawing upon their experience embedding EDI practice across the CIPR’s work to achieve the National Equality Standard.  

Richard Bagnall, no time to lose - why the PR sector must urgently evolve its approach to measurement

Richard Bagnall, board director and leader of several of AMEC’s best practice resources, including its globally recognised and adopted Evaluation Framework, helps you grow your insight, knowledge and ability to apply the latest trends in evaluation.  

He draws upon his experience at the cutting edge of evaluation over 30 years, experience recognised by AMEC’s Don Bartholomew Award, the CIPR’s President’s Medal and induction into the USA's PR News' Measurement Hall of Fame. 

Richard Bagnall is a 30-year veteran in communications measurement and evaluation. Holding several leadership positions in prominent measurement and data analytics companies, he is now the global co-managing partner of CARMA for Europe and the Americas.  

Richard has advised the UK Government's Strategy & Evaluation Council for ten years and chaired AMEC for three terms of office across six years. He has driven the creation of several of AMEC’s best practice resources, including its Evaluation Framework, a globally recognized communications evaluation process representing acknowledged best-practice.  

Richard has been recognized multiple times for lifetime achievement, including AMEC’s Don Bartholomew Award, the CIPR’s President’s Medal and induction into the USA's PR News' Measurement Hall of Fame.
