2026 – It’s time for Intentions
By the CIPR NW Committee

We’ve been thinking about our intentions and making a few predictions for the months to come. From Substack to photography to simply slowing down and just being, here are a few thoughts from some of our committee members.

Phoebe Pappoe:
My learning goal is to keep growing in the quiet, everyday ways, paying closer attention to how people make decisions, what truly builds trust, and how small choices compound over time. I’m also excited to explore creativity more intentionally this year, learning phone photography and editing, and understanding how to turn content creation into something meaningful, sustainable, and aligned with who I am.

Harriet Williams:
Over Christmas, I found myself reading more on Substack — a subscription based newsletter platform that’s become a creative home for independent writers, journalists and content creators. You can publish articles, images, video or audio on your own page, and I can see it becoming increasingly popular among PR professionals. It feels quieter and more thoughtful than Instagram. Though I love Instagram. My hope is to start my own page this year — a small corner to gather my ideas and let them live somewhere.

Natalie Geraghty:
This year is all about survival for me. Yes, you read that right; no ambitious goals are planned, just simply making it through the year while I juggle some very big personal and business challenges. But to keep my CPD ticking over and to keep my brain active, I’ll be enjoying short reads, especially anything around ethics and strategy.
