About the group

The South West is a great place to live and work - so it's no surprise that our CIPR SW Group is so vibrant, with members from across the region and from diverse sectors. We have some excellent events planned each year to support continuous learning and professional connections for members in the region.

Vote now for the CIPR South West charity of the year!

Your new CIPR South West committee has shortlisted three great causes to become our region’s Charity of the Year for 2022 – 2023 – we need your help to choose. The three shortlisted charities are all south west based initiatives, set up to help those in need across our region. Find out more below:

FairShare South West - FareShare South West was formed in 2007 to help tackle the food poverty issue in the South West by redistributing surplus food across the region. By using quality, in date surplus food which would otherwise have gone to waste, the charity turns an environmental problem into a social solution.

Cots for Tots - The Grand Appeal - Sharing one vision: to ensure every sick or premature baby from across the South West has access to the very best care, 365 days a year. This charity supports the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Bristol Children’s Hospital. Providing family accommodation, funding state of the art equipment and deliver music therapy sessions.

Second Step - A leading mental health charity that’s been putting mental health first for people in the South West for over 30 years. Second Step believes that with the right support, everyone can take control of their life and make their future their own.

Voting is open from 17th – 24th January and can be found on the CIPR South West Twitter (@CIPR_SW) or on LinkedIn (search CIPR South West). The chosen charity will be announced at the end of January, becoming the CIPR South West’s Charity of the Year 2022 – 2023. The committee will be announcing fundraising events and initiatives to support the chosen charity.
