Kate Betts

Kate Betts was a journalist for 20 years, before taking voluntary redundancy from the BBC in 2006 and starting the award-winning agency Capital B Media. She specialises in media training and crisis communications, and has worked with clients including NHS, police, local authorities, government bodies, multinational companies and charities. She is a trainer for the Cabinet Office Emergency Planning College, has a City & Guilds training qualification and taught journalism at Sheffield University.

Maud a PR trainer specialising in marketing comms and media relations. Her workshops are engaging and shaped from her account handling experience in consultancies - Richmond Towers, Nexus, Hill and Knowlton and Ceres PR. Her courses are current and reflect the best practice that she gains in leading CIPR’s Professional Certificate and lecturing in public relations at UAL. She has also mentored on Government’s GCS talent programme, Prince’s Trust’s Enterprize programme and is a CIPR mentor.
