Anthony is the Managing Director of an award-winning PR and marketing communications agency. He has been shortlisted for individual PR awards, including Young Communicator of the Year at the 2015 CIPR Cymru Wales PRide Awards.

Head of Internal Communications, First Bus
Hayley has over 15 years experience in PR. She's held a number of roles in the public and private sector, having worked in healthcare, criminal justice, retail and transport. She has previously been CIPR NW Treasurer and sits on the CIPR National Council.

Linda has been a virtual assistant for over 17 years, supporting global companies, small businesses and individuals in the UK, Switzerland and France. She also teaches English to French individuals and groups. She is employed by CIPR NW to provide admin support to committee members for events and general committee business. Admin Answers was twice a runner-up at the Warrington Buisness Awards.
Bridget Batty MCIPR (Membership / Student / University Liaison and Events)
Owner/Director, Limetree Public Relations Ltd.
Bridget has over 20 years’ experience of working in PR and set up as an independent practitioner 12 years ago, operating as Limetree PR. Her experience ranges from utilities, aviation, healthcare, business support, transport, education to legal, security and film.
She is an accredited practitioner and has been a North West committee member for seven years. She was shortlisted for the PRide Outstanding Independent Practitioner award in 2017. She is also a founding member on the steering group for local networking group Professional Oldham. More recently, Bridget has accepted a part-time Communications Manager role for an established and well-respected law firm, whilst still servicing her own long-term clients.
Jeni Beattie MCIPR (Training)
Director, Accolade Media Training
Jeni founded Accolade Media Interview Training after a career in journalism and public relations. It was here she realised that people were “surviving” a media interview rather than turning it into an opportunity, especially in the areas of crisis and issue management. She has been transforming spokespeople for over twenty years. Her clients range from multi-national CEO’s to regional service engineers across all industry sectors.
Amanda Coleman Chart. PR FCIPR
Head of Corporate Communications, Greater Manchester Police
Amanda has almost 20 years' experience in police communication and started work as a journalist, before moving into PR in the late 1990s. Amanda is a Fellow of the CIPR and a Chartered Practitioner and recently become an assessor for the Chartered Practitioner scheme. When not at work Amanda regularly blogs and spends time with her animals.
Carl Hudspith MCIPR
Communications Adviser, National Farmers' Union
Carl is a former journalist with over fourteen years’ experience in Public Relations. As a PR lead for the NFU in the North West, he has successfully led a range of projects related to strategy, crisis management, thought leadership, stakeholder management, internal communications, leadership changes, campaigns and digital communication.
Amanda Jackson MCIPR (Leader of Lancashire sub-committee)

Amanda is founder of award winning agency, Tigerfish PR, which specialises in the manufacturing and supply chain sectors. With over 30 years experience in PR, she is also head of PR for Women in Logistics and director of East Lancashire Chamber of Commerce.
Nicole Kenny MCIPR (PRide sub-committee)
Senior Press and Communications Officer, Electricity North West
Nicole is a former journalist with more than 12 years experience across journalism, agency and in-house roles. She has been the Senior Press and Communications Officer for Electricity North West for the past six years and in that time delivered award-winning crisis communications, embedded and managed social media channels operating 24/7, led national and regional PR campaigns and reacted quickly to fast-developing issues and news across the often complex and politcal energy industry.
Wendy Moran FCIPR
Senior Lecturer in Marketing and Public Relations, MMU Business School
In 2015, as Chair of the CIPR Local Public Services (LPS) Group, Wendy led a national research project examining the new challenges for PR practitioners in the ongoing age of austerity. The report 'Influence for Impact' was launched at CIPR HQ in October 2015. In 2013, Wendy co-authored PR and Communication in Local Government and Public Services, published by Kogan Page. She is currently undertaking doctoral studies examining Public Relations Leadership with Professor Danny Moss.
Melanie Powell MCIPR
Mel has recently retired after 22 years as a Senior Lecturer teaching PR at undergraduate, Masters and practitioner level, firstly at Leeds Beckett University and most recently at Manchester Metropolitan University Business School, where she won the Best Overall Teacher award in 2011. Before that, she was a PR practitioner for 10 years, working in local government, media relations and arts marketing. By the time she retired, Mel had moved to specialise in personal and professional development as Associate Head for Student Employability in the Faculty of Business and Law at MMU, and now plans to use her experience in CPD to promote awareness and completion of CPD amongst CIPR members in the North West region.
Bridget Aherne MCIPR
Consultant, Bridget Aherne Communications
Bridget is an award-winning public relations leader whose work since going it alone was recognised at 2018’s CIPR Excellence Awards, where she was named outstanding independent practitioner. She provides counsel to the leaders of organisations across the country – as well as remaining hands-on in the delivery of activities for those she works with. Bridget’s time in PR has seen her work for large public sector organisations including police, fire and local government. Her work at Nottinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service was recognised at the 2015 CIPR Excellence Awards, where she was awarded the title of CIPR & IoD PR Director of the Year.
Elena Sanda MCIPR
Elena is a communications and public affairs consultant, with more than ten years' experience across multiple industries. Her professional background is a mix of corporate communication, strategic consultancy and political communication. She has worked with clients from sectors such as energy, healthcare (companies and NGOs, covering a wide spectrum of medical issues), FMCG. As a political communications consultant, she contributed to the Romanian local and parliamentary elections. In 2013-2014 she acted as a communications adviser for a Romanian minister, covering the economy and energy portfolios. Her areas of expertise include strategic communications consultancy, stakeholder mapping and stakeholder engagement, patient advocacy, executive profiling, crisis and issues management, content development and speech-writing. She had a campaign shortlisted at the EMEA Sabre Awards, in the 'Governmental Agencies' category (2014) - “Romgaz, the first state company from Romania listed on the London Stock Exchange". She has been a member of the CIPR NW committee since 2016.
