Colin Kelly


Colin Kelly MCIPR is a former BBC journalist who now runs his own media relations and social media training company.

During his 16-year career in broadcasting he anchored an early morning news programme and topical phone-in programme on BBC Radio Scotland and appeared regularly on screen as STV's technology correspondent on their evening show 'The Hour'. He also had his own weekly newspaper column and continues to appear regularly on radio and television programmes as a technology expert.

Colin has delivered social media and media relations workshops to more than two thousand clients throughout the UK. Recent work includes courses for Skyscanner, sportScotland, Scottish Natural Heritage, Wightlink Ferries, several Members of the Scottish Parliament and small/medium business owners.

His courses give participants a thorough understanding of how the media works and the skills and confidence to tackle even the most daunting live broadcast interview situation head on.

Colin has a BA in Journalism from Edinburgh Napier University and was one of the first mainstream media personalities in the UK to use the Twitter social network.
