Di delivers high level strategic management consultancy to a range of blue chip organisations. Her client list includes HS2, Jaguar Landrover, North Yorkshire Police, and the University of Manchester. She is a preferred supplier to the European Commission, advising on a range of communication and leadership issues to heads of EU agencies across Europe.

Di is an external examiner at Northumbria University for their Faculty of Arts, Design and Social Sciences. For 16 years she directed the MA in Public Communication programme for the Government Communication Network (GCN) at Leeds Trinity University.

As an industry expert, she has worked at 10 Downing Street and the Cabinet Office, and is a regular speaker at national conferences. Di is a member of the Cabinet Office Communications Review team, is a member of London's Reform Club and Yorkshire's Two Percent Club, and has been listed in PR Week's Power List as one of the most influential people in public relations.

She has attended Harvard Business School, is a Yorkshire Patron, a director of Harrogate Theatre and a trustee of the Northern Aldborough Festival.

Di is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development and a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations.

Di was formerly Managing Director of Cicada Communications, the PR agency she founded in 1987 and sold in 2015.
